Time to get out the oars and waders, I guess.
I think Freuchie suffered enough last year without all this worry tonight. Fingers crossed the rain passes by Freuchie.
If you go to Norwegian Institute of Meteorology’s website – http://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingdom/Scotland/Freuchie/hour_by_hour.html
there is a highly detailed and usually accurate forecast (for the next 12/24hours anyway).
It says there is to be some rain but nothing that should cause the burn to flood. But I guess it also depends on how much rain falls upstream and if the channel straightening up in the field at Muirhead has any adverse effects too.
(That website also has a slightly different forecast for Falkland Road Station and other locations too. Useful website!)
That’s a great find Ross. Certainly doesn’t look as bad as the weather forecast, Met Office advisory and SEPA flood warnngs.
It is a shame our own Met Office can’t produce that level of detail to the general public.
SEPA has now issued an ALL CLEAR for Fife.
