Hope everyone has caught up on their sleep after Thursday night’s flood prevention activities for “Round Two” may be coming along in the coming hours and days. Rain throughout today and tomorrow may cause flooding for Freuchie and other areas of North East Fife.
Heavy rainfall since 9:30am is already affecting the watercourses of Freuchie, which are rising rapidly due to the heavily saturated ground forcing the rainfall to run off straight into watercourses.
The good news is no major property damage has been reported in Freuchie so far and the exceedingly precarious cul-de-sac in Kingskettle also survived. The Eden has dropped substantially but it is still spilling out onto the fields between Ladybank and Kingskettle.
