It is well over a year since we experienced such high water course levels here in Freuchie. Mother Nature has been kind to us on the rainfall front over the last 15 months. However the saturated ground and remaining snowmelt is now making for a more precarious period than would normally be the case. Concerned residents are closely monitoring the levels and many are prepared with their flood protection products.

Luckily most of the severe weather has went around Fife resulting in only 12mm (@3pm) of rainfall since midnight. The ramifications of a heavy rainfall day (30 – 50mm) are just too horrific to contemplate!
